Best Social Media Case Studies from #RaganDisney

Over the last few days I have been down at Walt Disney World in Florida attending Ragan Communications' Social Media Conference for PR, Marketing and Corporate Communications. The workshops, presentations, and keynote speakers have been both educational and inspired. I am definitely going home inspired and fired up!

Of all of the content we went though this week, some stood out more than others. Here is a list of my favorite case studies from #RaganDisney:

Denver Water Enters the Twilight Zone

I can't be alone in thinking that the a municipal water department can't possibly be that interesting. Think again. Denver Water took some not so glamorous information about their operations and made it engaging with a pop culture reference.

The Color of Pee

This is a great infographic by the Cleveland Clinic that reviews the color of your pee and what that means, healthwise. I can just imagine all the funny Facebook comments and social shares. Click here to view the entire infographic. 

Toilet Punch

Denver Water strikes again, this time armed with a toilet costume. Don't throw pills down the toilet. A boring message. But pair it with an aggressive, punch-throwing toilet and you have social gold. 

6 Word Stories

Burlington took a simple idea of six word stories and created an entire campaign around it. This video, featuring their employees, share the story of Burlington and its culture in a short and creative way.

Microsoft's Story of Sequence

Recognized at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference was Sequence, a organization aimed at helping at-risk youth in El Salvador, who uses Microsoft products to truly make a difference in their area. Sometimes corporate storytelling isn't about telling YOUR story but telling THEIR story.

Holy crap. This one is the best What else is Drake University supposed to do when they're always confused with the rap mogul, Drake. Read this Time article on the emotional rollercoaster was was #BringDrakeToDrake.
